About Us

Proud Mimi and Pop who love their family and are building a legacy to share with them. Sharing our passion to help bring joy to others, by offering items that bring fond memories and new experiences.

Who doesn’t love sweet treats? I sure do. Lorie’s Freeze Dried Treats was started to broaden the experience that Doc Rob’s Kettle Corn offers to its constituents.

Recognizing a popular trend and jumping in to bring sweet satisfaction to our fans. We have increased our reach beyond our kettle corn fans to a whole new customer base.

We live in a small Southwest MO town called Bolivar. I am a retired Music teacher and Doc Rob is a retired higher education administrator. We love it when our family has a chance to help with our business and look forward to the day when our grandchildren are old enough to work alongside us. ( Grandchildren make great taste testers!)

“I love seeing the excitement and surprise in our new customers' faces when they experience our candy for the first time!”

-Lorie, Founder of Lorie’s Sweet Treats

Before there was Lorie’s, there was Doc Rob’s Kettle Corn, and before there was Doc Rob’s Kettle Corn there was just Rob and Lorie. Two college town sweethearts who grew a love for God and a love for each other. This dynamic duo has always had a passion for serving others and zest for enjoying life’s sweetest moments.

Lorie’s Freeze Dried Treats was born out of recognizing a popular trend and jumping in to bring sweet satisfaction to their fans. They have increased their reach beyond their kettle corn fans to a whole new customer base.

“I like to think of Lorie’s Freeze Dried Treats as a vehicle to help others reach beyond their current circumstance and think about new and creative adventures.”
